About Me

IMG_2081As the sign says; Beware of Falling Coconuts.¬† And by that I mean, you just never know what you’re going to find until it hits ya on the head. ūüėÄ My blog is a little random but that’s just how I am.¬†Not gonna lie to you..I am NOT a perfectionist. I’m the type of girl who very much dislikes reading the instructions. I’d much rather dump out all the pieces and attempt to put it together. (And yes, generally I kick myself later for that decision…)

I grew up in the great state of Montana, but currently live in Alaska with my hubby and black lab. Alaska is kinda quirky and we love it, so I have fun sharing some of my Alaska adventures with ya’ll.

You will not find me talking about my children because my husband and I struggle with infertility. This has been a huge trial to bear as our dream was to have many little feet running through our house. I have chosen not to write about infertility as it is too painful for me to do so. We trust that God knows what he is doing despite the sorrow in our hearts.

By trade I’m a floral designer and opened up my own wedding flower business in 2016. I’ve loved every second of being my own boss. If you’re interested in my floral work, check out my Facebook page¬†The Flower Knot.

I’m also proud to be a Compassionate Entrepreneur with Trades of Hope. I’m working with them to end poverty around the world. This has led me to searching out more sustainably¬†¬†made products and ones that have been made using Fair Trade principles. I’m excited to share my journey with you. Learn more on my¬†Facebook page.

This guy right here is my main man. He’s my rock, he’s my love, he’s my inspiration. And he’s also the guy who taught me to fish. Those slimy little salmon still kinda freak me out, though. HA!

Again, welcome and feel free to drop me a line–I’d love to connect!

In order to protect myself from people who might take any information I have written out of context or use it in any way I do not intend, I must say the following: I am NOT a doctor. I take no responsibility for what you do or not do with any information I have written.¬†Every person is unique and may react differently to herbs and spices.¬†My opinions and writings should not take the place of a doctor…consult one of those if you need medical advice. Pretty much…please use common sense and I strongly suggest you do your own research as well. It’s empowering!

**Also note that while I do my best to research my topics thoroughly, I am a fallible human being and may make mistakes. Please forgive me.
