Quick and Easy Laundry Soap

I do not think you can get an easier DIY recipe than this. Seriously. Don’t believe me? Check out the video at the end of this post.
I really honestly love this soap. It cleans our clothes well and keeps them smelling fresh and clean—no fake floral scents here! And keep in mind my husband loves dirt! 🙂

Laundry Soap

  • 4 tablespoons borax
  • 4 tablespoons washing soda
  • 4 cups hot water
  • 3 tablespoons liquid castile soap (your choice of scent)
  • 12 cups cold water
  • 25-50 drops essential oil of your choice, optional

Stir together the first 3 ingredients until dissolved. Pour into a gallon sized container. Add in remaining water and essential oils. Top off with the castile soap, give it a good shake and that’s it folks! No grating, no waiting, just mix and go! 🙂

Makes 1 gallon. Use about 1/3 to 1/2 cup per load depending on the size of load and dirt level. 🙂
I have a H.E. washer and this soap works just fine and dandy for it.
If you make it, let me know what you think!
